TERIMO (TEllurium based RadioIodine production MOdule) is an automated module for thermochromatographic separation of radionuclides of iodine from tellurium oxide targets irradiated by cyclotron beams. The module is designed for Ø24 mm diameter and 1.5-2 mm thick platinum target discs having TeO2 melted in a circular depression in the center of the disc before irradiation. These are the standard targets used for irradiation in the COSTIS (COmpact Solid Target Irradiation System) and Nirta Solid Compact target stations.
In 2007 the design of TERIMO has been revised; the design of the quartz furnace was improved and the safety charcoal filter was moved to the back of the module.
