As of January 1, 2014, the director of ELEX Commerce is Dr. Jožef Čomor.
Dr. Jožef Čomor graduated at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 1982; he obtained his master’s degree in 1989 and his Ph.D. in 1992 at the same faculty. He worked at the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences from 1983 to 2008, going through every position from research assistant to scientific advisor.
Dr. Čomor has a rich track record in various fields related to radionuclide production for medical purposes. His expertise has been recognized by the scientific and technical community and as a result he was selected by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as an expert for cyclotron production of radionuclides. On behalf of IAEA he successfully performed many missions in developing countries, helping them to launch challenging programs of radionuclide and radiopharmaceutical production for medical purposes.
After 25 years of commitment, Dr. Čomor left the Vinča Institute from the position of associated head of the TESLA Project, where he was responsible for establishing the facility for cyclotron production of radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals. By joining ELEX he helped the company in developing a new field of operation - design and construction of cyclotron targets and automated radiochemical synthesis modules for production of radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine. He was personally leading every R&D project, resulting in the numerous products ELEX has today in its portfolio. After working for ELEX as manager for over 5 years, he was appointed as the director of ELEX Commerce on January 1, 2014.
The previous director, Mr. Slobodan Raketić was leading the company since the foundation of ELEX from July 8, 1991, until December 31, 2013.
